Charles William Panhorst, Sr.

Charles William Panhorst, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 15, 2021. He passed from this earth while sleeping at his Marmaduke home. Mr. Panhorst was 83 years young. He was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lafe, Arkansas. Mr. Panhorst served his country in the Army, Army Reserve, and finally in the National Guard. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alice Panhorst of the home, 5 children, Alicia Shaw-Ward (Leslie) of Paragould, Charles (Chuck) Panhorst, Jr. (Roberta) of Lafe, Frank Panhorst (Vanessa) of Williford, Arkansas, Donald Panhorst, and Angelique Retherford (George) of Marmaduke. Mr. Panhorst has 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 8 great great-grandchildren. Mr. Panhorst was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruda Panhorst, 2 infant brothers, brother Bobby Panhorst, 1 grandchild Gracie Panhorst, 2 great- grandchildren Isaiah Lighthart and Jaelyn White, one daughter-in-law Robin Panhorst, and one son-in-law Billy Shaw.

Services for Mr. Panhorst will be Tuesday December 21, 2021 and will be conducted by Heath Funeral Home. Visitation, funeral, and burial will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lafe, Arkansas. Visitation for family will be from 11 am till 12 noon. Visitation for the public will be from 12-2pm. Funeral will be at 2pm with burial to follow in the St. John’s cemetery.
