Charles Wayne Callahan

Charles Wayne Callahan, 58 of Paragould died Wednesday at his home surrounded by his family. He was born January 30, 1951 in Forrest City, Arkansas to Dow and Geraldine Callahan. Wayne was retired from Sherwin Williams after 26 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paragould, Sunday School Teacher and a Deacon. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Callahan; mother-in-law, Ellen Clemens. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Rita Callahan of the home, daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy and Chris Sample of Harrisburg and Ashley and Clint Richardson of Paragould; father, Dow Callahan of Forrest City, AR; brothers, Bill, Tommy, Jimmy and Garry Callahan and sister, Carolyn Miller. Grandchildren, Chase and Cole Richardson, Jake, Luke and Ruby Kate Sample. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 P.M. at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Bill Steeger and Raymond Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. The family has requested that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Paragould Missions Offering or the Building Fund.
