Charles Edward Boggs, 91, of Paragould, passed away Tuesday at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Charlie was always a hard worker, and he was known for his colorful words. He spent his early career building houses before becoming a car dealer. In his later years, he began moving houses. In his spare time, Charlie enjoyed reading westerns, specifically by Louis L'Amour. He was the son of the late James and Christenia Boggs. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Fayetta Rutledge Boggs; daughter, Christenia Boggs Cruse; infant son, Charles Edward Boggs, Jr.; brothers, Floyd, Ray, Earl, and Roy Boggs; and sisters, Josephine Clayton and Sybil Skaggs.
Survivors include his daughter, Kim Liddell; grandchildren, Zachary (Kelly), Katie, and Caleb Liddell, all of Paragould; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Wednesday evening from 6-7:30 at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral is Thursday at 2:30 pm at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial is in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Caleb and Zach Liddell, Dustin Granger, Roger Conway, Terry Seevers, and Fuzz Symons.
