Celeste Williams, 81, of Paragould, passed away Sunday at her residence. She was a retired teacher in the Delaplaine, Stanford, Oak Grove, and Decatur school districts. Celeste was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she served as Religion Teacher for 11 years. She also served in the Parish Council and as Lector and Eucharistic Minister. Celeste was the daughter to the late William and Anna Niebrugge. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ted Williams, and 9 siblings.
She is survived by her husband, Galen Williams; children, Julie Chipman of Paragould, Tim (Tammy) Williams of Florence, Alabama; and Trent Williams of Huntington, New York; daughter-in-law, Lori Williams of Jackson, Missouri; grandchildren, Crystal Kellim, Ryan (Summer) Chipman, Rachel Williams, Sam Williams, Zachary (Melanie) Williams, Taylor Williams, and Megan Williams; and great grandchildren, Jazimine Kellim, Jaice Kellim, Andrew Chipman, Laila Chipman, and Grayson Chipman.
A Rosary begins Tuesday evening at 5:30 pm at Heath Funeral Home. The visitation will follow from 6-8. The funeral begins Wednesday at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Stephen Mallanga and Pastor Aaron Neugebauer officiating. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery.
