Cecil Wooldridge, 77, Paragould, went to be with his heavenly father on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, in Jonesboro. He retired after 29 years as the Bridges, Buildings, and Utilities Manager for Cotton Belt Railway. Cecil served in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. Cecil was a dedicated family man and was a very devoted papa. He was the son of the late C.V. and Grace Wooldridge. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Harley, Winston, and Hal Wooldridge, and sisters, Evelyn Wooldridge, Aileen Powell, and Chestine Tribett.
Cecil is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Brashears Wooldridge, Paragould; son and daughter-in-law, Dwight and Dorothy Wooldridge, Osceola; daughter and son-in-law, Miranda and Jim Bradley, Jr., Paragould; grandchildren, Chelsea and Cody Cox, Paragould, Tristan and Story Wooldridge, Osceola, and Erin Bradley, Paragould; brothers, Paul Wooldridge, West Memphis, and Ben Wooldridge, Dixie; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday morning at 10 am at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Pentecost, Tim Wooldridge, and Rev. Royce Boling officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers are Dean, Keith, Allen, Rick, Chris, and Jerid Wooldridge, and Steve and Richard Tribett. Honorary pallbearers are Joe and Willard Pentecost. Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
