Carolyn Louise Allen

Carolyn Louise (Burkhart) Allen, 76, of Paragould, passed away from this life on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas, surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn was born on January 20, 1947, to Lee and Thelma Dishong in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She was of the Baptist belief. Carolyn was a hairdresser and was owner of "The Male Shop", where she gave many haircuts to men and boys throughout the years. She enjoyed crafts, but her most favorite hobby was fishing. She is preceded in death by her parents; her previous husband, Art Hamelin; and brother, Jimmy Burkhart.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Earl Allen of the home; sons, Todd (Lynda) Stovall of Paragould and Shane (Kera) Stovall of Lafe; grandchildren, Annah Halford of Brookland, Chandler Stovall and Garrett Stovall both of Paragould; five great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Zekowski of Port Richey, Florida; and brother, Danny Sisk of Paragould. She is also survived by several other relatives, friends, and former "Male Shop" customers.

There are no services planned at this time. Cremation is the disposition of choice. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that St. Jude Children's Research Hospital be considered.
