Carlton William Smith, 83, Paragould, died Friday, September 28, 2012, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born January 24, 1929 in Beech Grove, the son of the late Lester and Beatrice Williams Smith. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Carolyn Heineman, Janice Smith, Arlon Smith and Garland Smith. Carlton was a long time farmer and worked for Dana Corp. for 15 years. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church. Carlton loved God, his family, including his beloved Lab, Rusty, Cardinals, Razorbacks and the Military Channel. He is survived by his wife: Delores Smith, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law: Debby and Bob Camp of Paragould, Tami and Jack Forrest of Orlando, Florida; grandsons: Shannon Carlton Underwood, Ryan Underwood, Phillip Forrest; granddaughter: Holly Forrest; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM, Tuesday, at Heath Funeral Home.
