Byron Lee Dowdy, a music-loving soul who delighted in spending time with his loving family, passed from this life on March 29, 2024. Born on April 17, 1988, Byron lived a life filled with the simple pleasures of fishing, cranking up his favorite tunes - regardless of who was nearby - and cherishing moments with his nieces and nephew.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and joy, survived by his sisters, Ruthie Westbrook of Lake City, Mary (Rocky) Norman of Paragould, Lavera (Daniel) Greenway of Oak Grove, and Rosemary (Eric) Vandervant of Paragould; cousins who were raised as siblings, Autumn Lewis of Paragould and Eli Quinn of Little Rock; his mother, Tracy Dowdy; grandmother, Wanda Dowdy of Lake City; aunt, Stacey Dowdy of Little Rock; uncle, Walter Dowdy of Jonesboro; step-father, John Westbrook of Paragould; and a handful of nieces and only one nephew.
We celebrate Byron's life with a visitation at Heath Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 3-5 pm.
May we come together to honor Byron, reminisce on his fondest memories, and find solace in the knowledge that his spirit will live on in our hearts. Byron will forever be remembered for his infectious laughter, love for music, and the way he lived life on his own terms. May he rest in eternal peace.
