Bryant Elmer Copeland

Bryant Elmer Copeland, 70, of Paragould, passed from this life on Friday, May 5, 2023, one day shy of his 51st wedding anniversary. He was born in Paragould on January 7, 1953, to the late Elmer Eugene and Mary Francis Grisham Copeland. Bryant graduated from Lafe High School in 1971. He married Kathy Mitchell on May 6, 1972. Bryant was a veteran having served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his service, Bryant worked for many years as a farmer. He later went to work for Utility Trailer in the electrical department. He retired from Utility Trailer after fourteen years. In his spare time, he enjoyed duck hunting. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mary Copeland; his precious Chiweenie, Molly; brothers, James Albert Copeland and Raymond Eugene Copeland; sister, Dora Mae Smith; and brothers-in-law, Calvin Clark Mitchell and Larry Lavern Mitchell.

Bryant is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Kathy Copeland of Paragould; daughters, Corrina (Micheal) Garred of Paragould, Tana (Shane Howell) Copeland of Jacksonville, Florida, and Riley, his short-haired Chiweenie; grandchildren, Bren (Alexis Warren) Garred of Paragould, Tryniti (Brett Murdie) Garred of Little Rock, and Alexis Howell of Jacksonville; great grandchild, Leo Murdie of Little Rock; sisters, Roxie (Laymon) Ellis of Lafe and Diane (James) Partin of Tennessee; brother, Ronnie (Cynthia) Copeland of Paragould; sisters-in-law, Lucille Mitchell of Lafe, Barbara (Dale) Simington of Ravenden Springs, Marie (Kevin) Nix of Pocahontas, Margie (Josh) Sebastian of Corning, and Lois Copeland of Paragould; brothers-in-law, Darrell (Nancy) Mitchell of Ravenden Springs and Jim Smith of Oak Grove; special friends, Bobby Fletcher, Freddy Jackson, and Craig Pierce; and many nephews, nieces, family, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 5 PM at Lafe Community Center with Rev. Everett Isom officiating.
