Brenda Oxford

Brenda Oxford, 57, of Paragould, died Sunday, January 16, 2011, at St Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born February 27, 1953 in Pocahontas, the daughter of the late Edmond Owen "Buster" and Iline "Sid" Spradlin Parten. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Chastain. Brenda was a waitress and she loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include by her husband: Richard Oxford; daughter and son-in-law: Angela and Nathan Newby; son: Scott Oxford; grandson, Owen Newby, all of Paragould; sisters: Linda Lenderman of Brookland, Lisa Kincade of Hoxie; brothers: Bill Parten of Hoxie, Larry Parten of Lufkin, TX, Theodore Parten of Paragould, Jim Parten of Lakewood, CO, Ronnie Parten and Donald Parten, both of Pocahontas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel, 2:00 PM, Thursday, with Brother Gene Cullum officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
