Bonnie Lynn Wyatt

December 10, 1946 — January 3, 2015

Bonnie Lynn Wyatt, 68, of Paragould, died Saturday at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was a realtor with Chesser-Taylor Realty and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Bonnie served many years on the Paragould City Council, and she was Past President of the Paragould Board of Realtors. She was the daughter of the late Bruce and Lola Highfill. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Claire Wyatt; brother, Lindy Highfill; and brother-in-law, Bill Wyatt. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, John R. Wyatt, Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Lane McMurry, Springfield, Missouri; son and daughter-in-law, John Robert, “J. R.”, Jr. and Shay Wyatt, Marion; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Gary Biggs, Paragould; brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Doty Highfill, Paragould; grandsons, Connor McMurry, age 9, Springfield, Cohen McMurry, age 4, Springfield, Cross McMurry, age 2, Springfield, and Will Wyatt, age 2, Marion; step-mother, Carolyn Highfill, Paragould; step-sisters, Rena (Davey Joe) Jackson, Paragould, and Marilynn (Philip) Brasher, Paragould; step-brother, Andy (Shenia) Ford, Paragould; brother-in-law, Rick (Sandy) Wyatt, Jonesboro; sisters-in-law, Sarah Wyatt, Pocahontas, and Eve Highfill, Paragould; and numerous nephews and nieces. Bonnie loved many and was loved by many. She lived for her family, especially her grandchildren. She always had a kind word, and she never wanted anyone excluded. She was a great hostess and enjoyed gatherings where she could entertain and love her many friends. She adored her church and thoroughly enjoyed seeing it decorated for the Christmas season, her favorite time of year. She was a self-proclaimed ambassador to Paragould, and could not have picked a better career path to show off the town she loved. She loved to laugh, even at herself, and she always had a plan for what everyone else should be doing. She was an avid razorback fan, always ready to call those hogs. Her loss leaves a void that will never be filled, but her legacy will live on through her family and friends with the memories they will share. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11am-1pm at the First United Methodist Church in Paragould. The funeral service will follow at 1pm under the direction of Heath Funeral Home with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Interment will be at Linwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gerry Butler, Jeremy Biggs, Cory Biggs, Bill Brewer, Will Brewer, Davey Joe Jackson, Philip Brasher, and Rick Wyatt.
