Bobby Gene Rhoads

Bobby Gene Rhoads, 74, of Paragould, died Friday at his residence. He was born August 3, 1933, in Dell, Arkansas, the son of Benjamin Franklin and Marie Ragsdale Rhoads. An Army veteran, Bobby served his country during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Meat Inspector with the USDA, and he was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Vida Mae Scott Rhoads of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and David McSpadden of Paragould; two brothers and sister-in-law, Steve and Lucy Rhoads of Mesquite, Texas, and Jerry Rhoads of Laos, Vietnam; two sisters, Brenda Stanley of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Glenda Klebla of Casco, Michigan; and two granddaughters, Christy Lynn McSpadden and Whitney Nicole McSpadden. Bobby’s parents and one sister, Linda Rhoads, preceded him in death. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Greene County Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dennis Strope officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Tuesday at Heath Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Foundation.
