Mrs. Bobbie Magelene Fletcher Levins was born March 12, 1919 in the Finch community. She departed this life on August 11, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mollie Fletcher; sister, Grace Fletcher Cowell; and her husband of 50 years, Gaylon Levins.
She is survived by her church family; nieces; nephews; and cousins. She also leaves a host of wonderful friends.
She made her profession of faith at age 11 when she united with Finch Baptist Church. She served the church as assistant choir director, youth director, WMU president, Sunday School teacher, and member of the Finch Quartet. She and her late husband served the church as custodians for 34 1/2 years. Mrs. Bobbie also served as secretary and treasurer of Finch Cemetery Committee. She was a volunteer member of AMMC and vice president of Greene County Widow Support Group. Mrs. Bobbie was a resident of Sunshine Manor, and the family would like to specially thank all of the wonderful staff at Sunshine Manor for their love and care.
The family will receive friends Monday from 10:30-12 at Finch Baptist Church. The funeral begins at 12pm with Rev. Terry Songer and Rev. Marvin Emmons officiating. Burial is in Finch Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bobby Fletcher, Buddy Fletcher, Butch Fletcher, Jim Fletcher, Brian Songer and Myron Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Hargrave, Sam Henry, and Bruce Stewart. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Finch Cemetery.
