Billy Joe Tabor

Billy Joe "Bill" Tabor, 85, of Paragould, passed away at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro Friday morning. Bill was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. He was a veteran and a retired supervisor at Emerson Electric. Bill was born October 6, 1934 and was the son of the late Russel L. Tabor and Dorothy I. Matthews Tabor. Bill is preceded in death by his infant brother, Charles Lynn Tabor; one sister, Gloria "Tooter" Lashley; two brothers-in-law, Dale McBroom and Charles Abanathy; and sister-in-law Linda Tabor.

Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Patsy McBroom Tabor, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law Gina and Steve Coleman of Greenwood, Arkansas; one son, Jeff Tabor of Paragould, Arkansas; two grandsons, Bradley Coleman (Samantha Rezansoff) of Little Rock, Arkansas and Nick (Larissa) Coleman of Greenwood, Arkansas; one great-granddaughter of Greenwood, Arkansas; two brothers, Jerry (Jenny) Tabor of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Don (Lissa) Tabor of Paragould, Arkansas; two sisters, June (Harlin) Chesser and Debbie (Jimmie) Cupp both of Paragould, Arkansas; two sisters-in-law, Gail Abanathy of Paragould, Arkansas and Betty McBroom of Flint, Michigan; four brothers-in-law, Sherry Lashley, Jake (Sue) McBroom and Terry (Carolyn) McBroom all of Paragould, Arkansas and Kent (Rita) McBroom of Delaplaine, Arkansas and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday night at Heath Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 PM. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM Sunday at Brown's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Boling officiating.
