Billy Joe Forkum, Sr., 77 of Walcott, passed away Sunday at his Residence. He was a veteran of the US Army, a retired plumber who also loved to hunt, fish, and woodwork. He was born in Walcott, attended Walcott School and was a member of Walnut Corner Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Henry and Eve Walker Forkum. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rhoda Mae Mullins and Hazel Forkum; five brothers, Jack Forkum, Norman Forkum, Richard Forkum, Albert "Tab" Forkum and an infant brother, Bobby Forkum.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Forkum of the home; daughter, Tammy Michelle Forkum of the home; sons, Billy (Sherry)Forkum, Jr. of Paragould, and Robbie (Candalee) Forkum of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Tori Forkum, Jessica Forkum, Parker Wrenfrow, Wilson Wrenfrow and Jackson Bell.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 until 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 1:00 in the chapel of Heath Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Old Bethel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Parker Wrenfrow, Wilson Wrenfrow, David Allen, Logan Allen, Chris Pillow and Lyndon Livengood. Honorary pallbearer will be Jackson Bell.
