Beverly Gay Thomas, 77, of Lafe, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro. Gay was born to Burtram and Bessie (Orr) Willis August 30, 1936 in Flint, Michigan. Gay was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lafe. Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by her parents, son, Bradley Thomas and brothers, Bill Willis and Jerry Willis. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, Lloyd “Lum†Thomas, daughters, Tamela Christian of Lafe; Toni Mangrum and husband Doug of Bartlett, Tennessee; Carmon Johnson and husband, Manuel of Paragould; and Amy Speer and husband, Stacey of Marmaduke; siblings, Jim Willis and wife, Ann of Lafe; and Sandra Theil of Paragould; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, also a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be 11AM Tuesday, October 22, at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Lafe with Rev. Aaron Newgebauer, burial will follow in the St. John’s Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Willis, Mark Willis, Wade Willis, Flynn Willis, Heith Willis and Jason Thomas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Tritch, Orin Tritch, Manuel Johnson, Doug Mangrum, Stacey Speer, Grant Speer and Tony Theil. Visitation will begin at 10AM Tuesday at the church.
