Betty Jean Smith

Betty Jean Smith, 87, of Paragould, died Saturday, July 5th at Greene Acres Nursing Home. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church and had worked at Security Bank for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Smith; parents, Charles and Beryl Weatherly Bruce. Survivors include her nieces, Debby Camp and sons Ryan and Shannon of Paragould, Tami Forrest and her children, Holly and Phillip of Orlando, FL, Pam Callahan and her sons Aaron and Shane of St. Charles, MO, nephews Greg Smith and his children Stacy and Erin of Flint, MI and Stephen Smith also of Flint, MI; sisters-in-law Delores Smith of Paragould and Geraldine Smith of Flint, MI. Betty was a very warm and loving person. Her nieces and nephews had a special place in her heart. Also special to here were the many neighborhood children down through the years, as well as the many children she nurtured and loved at the First Baptist Church in Paragould. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00-1:00 at Heath Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday at Linwood Cemetery with Rev. Joe Marsden officiating.
