Bessie Iown McFarland, 102 of Farmington, MO, formerly of Paragould, died Sunday in Farmington, MO. Bessie was born January 18, 1918, to Thomas Streeter and Gladys Myrtle Laird Dixon. She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield in the office. She was born in Halliday, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde McFarland and brother, Albert “Bud” Dixon.
Survivors include her daughter, Patsy Porter of Arnold, MO; Grandchildren, Robyn Porter Gornati of Arnold, Tania Reiker (Jim) of Dexter, MO, Carla Porter and Shannon Porter both of Arnold, MO. 11 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren
Visitation is planned for Friday, September 18 from 12:00-1:00 PM at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with grandson, Shannon Porter officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
