Bernice Lorene Noel, 82 of Paragould, died Wednesday at her residence. She was the former owner of Noel's Grocery Store on 4th Avenue, retired from Emerson Electric and a member of the Southside Community Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Noel; parents, Riley Gunn and Myrtle Anderson Carpenter; step-father, Reuben Carpenter; sons, Cecil Larry Noel and Donald Gene Noel; great grandson, Christopher Dickson; daughter-in-law, Hattie Noel and brother, Willie Gunn. Survivors include daughters, Sue Whitaker of Jonesboro, Janette Witcher and Linda Allison of Paragould; sons, Jimmy and Stephen Noel of Paragould; sister, Myrtlee Denham and a special aunt, Lois Needham both of California Bernice is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Heath Colonial Chapel with the Reverend Edmund Stoddard officiating. Burial will follow in the New Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be; Tony and Tracy Whitaker, Eddie Dowdy, Terry Davis, Junior and John Hancock.
