Bernard Earl Carr, 83, of Paragould died Tuesday at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born December 8, 1925 in Cardwell, Missouri and was a World War II, Veteran and a retired truck driver. He was a member of Tenth Street Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons & daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Neila Carr of Cabot, Arkansas and Barry and Shirley Carr of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Don Slover of Paragould; sister, Rose Davidson of Paragould; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Betty Jo Carr of Paragould; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Bernard is preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Blackburn Carr; son, Bobbie Joe Carr; parents, Fred and Myrtle Thorn Carr; brothers, Ben, Raymond, Charles, Henry, Lindy and George Carr; sister, Winnie Saffer. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at the Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverend Jack Bearden officiating. Burial will follow at Finch Cemetery.
