Barry Wayne Rogers

Barry Wayne Rogers, 55 of Paragould, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was the Director of Technology at Greene County Tech School District and was active in the Army Reserve.

Barry is survived by a wife of 32 years, Dannelle, and two daughters, Hailey and Abby Rogers, both of Jonesboro. He leaves behind many family members, including his parents, Don and Sharon Rogers of Steele, MO; his mother and father in-law, Danny and Deanna Thomas of Steele, MO; a brother, Brian (Kathy) Rogers of Kennett, MO; nephews Grant Rogers (Holly) of St. Louis and Drake Daniels (Magen) of Kennett; and one niece, Abbigail Daniels of Jonesboro. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Barry was a 35 year veteran of the United States military, serving 4 years active duty in the Army and 31 years as an active Army Reservist with the Detachment 6, 3100th Strategic Intelligence Group out of Millington, TN. He was a board member of the Greene County Boys and Girls Club of Paragould. He enjoyed spending time at his dirt working business, gun collecting, going to the lake, serving his country, and most of all spending time with family and friends.

Barry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewis and Ione Rogers and Everett and Francis Flowers.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church Worship Center in Paragould, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 12:30-4:00 and the service will follow at 4:00 with military honors. Heath Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in Barry’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
