Barbara Jean Wedige

Barbara Jean Wedige, 87, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Friday, September 16, 2022. She was born on January 12, 1935, in Marmaduke to the late Robert Marvin Free and Audra Veona Crossno Free. Barbara graduated from Greene County Tech in 1952. She worked at Monroe for 25 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was a very selfless person. Barbara was always putting others ahead of her self. She was also known for her delicious jams and jellies. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Eugene Huffine; second husband, Eugene Wedige; and brother-in-law, Chestene Loyd.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda (David) Wieland of Jonesboro; granddaughter, Kelly (Bobby) Ewing of New Albany, Mississippi; great granddaughter, Shelby (Ricky) John of Munford, Tennessee; great grandson, Cory Willis of New Albany; great great grandson, Wyatt John of Munford; sister, Marjorie Loyd of Paragould; brother, Jimmy (Dortha) Free of Paragould; nieces, Debbie Bain of Flippin and Pamela Foster of Paragould; and nephews, Lanz D. Loyd and Kailen Free, both of Paragould.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 1-3 pm at Heath Funeral Home. A private burial will take place.
