Arthur "Ricky" Nicholson

Arthur "Ricky" Nicholson, 63, of Paragould, passed from this life on Monday, October 2, 2023. He was born in Helena, Arkansas, on February 28, 1960, to the late Robert and Ruby Terry Nicholson. Ricky married the love of his life, Marsha Hughes, on November 16, 1981. Ricky spent his career working on a farm, and he was the hardest working man around. In his spare time, he enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. Ricky, or Paw-Paw as he was affectionately known, was a family man who adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ricky also loved playing Farkle with his sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne Nicholson and Vernon Nicholson; and sisters, Gail Cummings and Jean Parker.

Ricky is survived by his wife of almost 42 years, Marsha Nicholson; son, Ricky (Heather) Nicholson of Benton, Arkansas; daughters, Candice Nicholson of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Cassie (Chris) Waechter of Paragould; grandchildren, Kenzii (Eli) Loyd, RJ Nicholson, and Kalab Nicholson, all of Des Arc, Arkansas, and Blakely Waechter of Paragould; great grandchildren, Emersyn and Elijah Loyd of Des Arc; sisters, Wilma Harris of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Mable (Bobby) Smith of Rondo, Arkansas, and Kathy Smith of Rondo; two special friends, Brandi and Haley from Legacy Hospice; and a host of nephews and nieces.

A memorial service to honor Ricky will be Friday, October 6, 2023, at 2 PM at Heath Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers are Don Tidwell, Bradley Nicholson, and Steven Smith.
