It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Wade Willis, a beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend, on December 29, 2024, in Paragould. He was born in Long Beach, California, on August 10, 1960. Wade lived a full life in pursuit of his passions, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
A graduate of the old Lafe High School, Class of 1978 (where he is remembered for his dominance on the basketball court), Wade dedicated himself to a career in the construction industry as a self-employed contractor. His exemplary work ethic was evident to all; he often remarked, "Monday is my favorite day-time to work." Wade's commitment to his craft and his clients reflected a deep-rooted sense of pride in everything he did.
Beyond his professional life, Wade was an avid outdoorsman. He found joy in hunting, particularly turkey and deer, and cherished the time spent in nature. He was a passionate supporter of the Arkansas Razorbacks and loved engaging in spirited discussions about politics, always eager to share his thoughts and insights.
Wade is survived by his loving daughter, Stephanie Meadows; his devoted son, Justin Willis and his fiancee, Jessica; his mother, Edie Davis; and his cherished grandchildren, Maxton, Meryck, Madison, Hadley, Ryker, and Ashlynn; his girlfriend, Michelle and her four children and grandchild. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Willis, and his baby sister, Vicky.
In this time of loss, may we remember Wade for his unwavering spirit, his love of life, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
