Anna Lee Johnson

June 21, 1935 — September 1, 2024

Anna Lee Johnson, 89, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born on June 21, 1935, in Paragould, Anna Lee's life was marked by a multitude of accomplishments and meaningful connections.

Anna Lee's educational journey began at Marmaduke High School, where she graduated in the class of 1952. Furthering her knowledge and skills, she attended business college at Southern Baptist College in Walnut Ridge. She met her future husband when she was walking down the street in Rector. She was only thirteen and Lloyd was nineteen, but Anna Lee immediately fell in love. From that moment, their love story began and endured beautifully.

Over the course of 40 years, Anna Lee dedicated herself to the Marmaduke School District, serving as a valued business aide. She was a true Greyhound and rarely, if ever, missed the Greyhounds playing basketball. Her passion for sewing and monogramming shone through in her meticulous craftsmanship, including creating her daughter's wedding dress. In her leisure time, Anna Lee enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball, seldom missing a game even when balancing work responsibilities.

Anna Lee's jovial spirit manifested in her love for jokes and pranks, bringing joy and laughter to those around her. A faithful member of Pruetts Chapel Methodist Church, Anna Lee's faith was a guiding light in her life.

Anna Lee will be dearly missed by her daughters, Kathy (Douglas) Threlkeld and Robin (Greg) Trout of Paragould; grandchildren, Justin (Crystal) Threlkeld, Barkley Threlkeld, Chelsea (Emile) Liddell, Kristen Trout, Katie Trout, Ory (Kacey) Trout, and Ethan Trout; great grandchildren, Maddy, Kyleigh, Colt, Gunnar, Darrah, Brantlee, Berkeley, and Evelyn, who will arrive later this month; nieces, Cris Maag and Tina Stone; and numerous relatives and friends who cherished her presence in their lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Neb and Alice Robinson; husband, Lloyd Johnson; granddaughter, Jessica Liddell; and sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Bob Whitlock.
