Anita Griggs

Anita Faye Morris Griggs, left this world on November 2, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on February 17, 1951, in Paragould, Anita was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warm spirit and kind heart.

Anita graduated from Paragould High School and dedicated much of her life to the retail industry, where she developed lasting relationships and cherished memories. Throughout her years, she worked diligently, always approaching her role with a sense of integrity and commitment.

A talented and creative individual, Anita enjoyed crocheting and sewing, finding solace in her crafts. Her passion for baking was well-known, particularly her exquisite chocolate pies and delightful boiled oatmeal cookies, which brought joy to her family gatherings and delighted those fortunate enough to share in her culinary creations.

Anita was a devoted mother to her daughter and embraced her role as a grandmother with love and pride. In recent years, she moved several times to remain close to her daughter and grandchildren, ultimately settling in Utah with Nikki in 2022. Her love for family was a constant source of strength and happiness in her life.

A steadfast Christian, Anita held her faith close to her heart, offering comfort and guidance to those around her. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Nikki Griggs; grandchildren, Logan Griggs, James Griggs, Milo Griggs, and Aurora Henson; brother, James Cole; and sister, Theresa Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Lorene Morris; brother, Ray Morris; and father of her daughter, James Griggs.

A memorial service to honor Anita Faye Griggs will be held at Heath Funeral Home on April 4, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to join together in remembrance and celebration of her life, reflecting on the love and warmth she shared with all who knew her.

Anita will be dearly missed but fondly remembered, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
