Amber Gill, 48, of Paragould, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. She was born on October 27, 1973, in Memphis, Tennessee. Amber graduated from Greene County Tech High School in 1991. She began her career in real estate with Bratton Real Estate. She married Jason Gill on April 23, 2005. She was very dedicated to her career, and she worked hard to be the best she could be. Amber was constantly furthering her knowledge in order to stay on the cutting edge of the industry. Amber eventually became Executive Broker of Paragould Realty Pro. She loved her career, but more importantly, she loved helping others. She was a 2012 graduate of the Realtor Leadership Academy (GRLA), a program which only a select few realtors are chosen to participate. Amber has numerous designations and certifications including e-PRO, Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Commitment to Excellence (C2EX), Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE), and Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA). She was a graduate of the Realtor Leadership Academy and Leadership Paragould Class XX. Amber served on several committees for the Paragould Chamber of Commerce, including serving as a board member, and she was selected as the Ambassador of the Year for the Chamber of Commerce in 2017. She was the District 2 Vice President for the Arkansas Realtors Association, and she was currently serving on the board of directors for Hearts and Homes of Arkansas, a nonprofit organization. She received the 2020 and 2021 Award for Excellence Diamond Level, a difficult level to achieve. She was voted by her peers as the 2012 and 2019 Realtor of the Year with the Paragould Board of Realtors and served the board as President in 2013. Amber was selected by the Paragould community as the Premiere Magazine Favorite Realtor for four years in a row, a designation she currently held. Amber had been a member of Civitan Club, Paragould Young Professionals, active in Habitat for Humanity, and recognized as a Difference Maker by the Paragould Daily Press. In her spare time, Amber loved going to the lake or beach. She enjoyed traveling no matter the destination. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Glen Maple, and mother-in-law, Wanda Swank.
Amber is survived by her husband of 17 years, Jason Gill; son, Jacob Higdon of Paragould; aunts and uncles, Shirley Dulaney Maple of Light, Bill and Peggy Whitlow of Lake Charles, Leonard and Mary Jane Maple of Hoxie, and Dottie and Ralph Gossett; numerous cousins; hundreds of friends; and her beloved dog, Memphis.
A visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2022, from 5-8pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 10am at Heath Funeral Home with Rev. Packy Magel officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shannon West, Phillip Cable, Jamey Dearing, Marc Liddell, Lance Liddell, Jimmy Harp, Todd Harris, and Jeffery Sheets. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Children's Homes of Paragould.
