Sherlene North

February 25, 1946 — April 28, 2024

Sherlene North, a devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, peacefully passed from this life on April 28, 2024, in Paragould, Arkansas. She was born in Paragould on February 25, 1946, to the late Bill and Almarie Dial. She graduated from Greene County Tech High School in 1964 before embarking on a career in education that spanned several decades. Sherlene dedicated her life to shaping young minds, working at the School of the 21st Century and previously serving as a substitute teacher at South Greene County Tech School.

In addition to her contributions to the field of education, Sherlene was a faithful member of Liberty Church of Christ, finding solace and strength in her faith throughout her life. Her kindness, patience, and unwavering commitment to her students and loved ones will forever be remembered.

Sherlene is survived by her sons, Terry (Bonita) North of Paragould and Eric (Loretta) North of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; daughter, Ashlynn Allie Jones of Paragould; sister, Becky Cole of Paragould; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. Sherlene was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Harold North.

A visitation will be Wednesday evening, May 1, 2024, from 5-7 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 10 AM on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Heath Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Dial officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric, Seth, Terry, and Dylan North, Jackie McMillon, Steve Wood, and Jamie Dial.
