Alma Jean Perry, 95, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on March 31, 2017 at her home. She was born on June 19, 1921 to the late Chester A. Ellington and Susan A. Ellington of Paragould. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John David Perry, of St. Louis, and three brothers, Alton Ellington of St. Louis, Ervin D. "Cotton" Ellington of Jonesboro, and Gordon Ellington of Paragould.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Dan Werner of St. Louis, Missouri; granddaughter, Kelly Werner, of St. Louis; sister-in-law, Verbadean Ellington of Paragould; and many nieces and nephews.
Alma Jean always worked in her yard, planting flowers and vegetables every year. She loved walking and talking with her neighbors and considered her next door neighbors extended family. She loved being at home and staying at home. She always said when it was time to go to bed, it was time to go home. Alma Jean donated to many charities but faithfully supported the work of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for many years.
Visitation will be at Heath Funeral Home on Monday, April 3rd at 11:30am followed by a service at 1:00pm. Burial will be at Clark's Chapel Cemetery.
