Alma Jane Cornelison

Alma Cornelison, 83, of Brookland, Arkansas, died Friday, November 4, 2011, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born May 11, 1928 in Brookland the daughter of the late William Cloyd and Ola Jane Willey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Glen Cornelison, brothers, Warren and Simon Willey and half sister, Laura Robertson. Alma was a homemaker and a member of New Antioch Baptist Church. Alma was dearly loved as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed quilting, playing games with friends and family, and fishing. She is survived by her sons: Ronnie Cornelison of Scottsdale, AZ, Gary, and his wife, Jan Cornelison of Grand Blanc, MI; daughters: Iva Madigan of Davison, MI, Phyllis Joan Cornelison of Brookland, Retha Dawson of Hardy; sisters: Rachel Cummins of Brookland, Emma Felts of Grand Blanc, MI; brothers: D.W. Willey of Paragould, Edward Willey of Brookland; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Tuesday, Heath Colonial Chapel, with Reverend Harold Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.
