Alma Esther White

Alma Esther White, 90, of Paragould, passed away Saturday, August 2 at Senath Nursing Home. She was born to the late James and Nancy (Beaton) Stephens in Lafe, Arkansas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Willford White, brother, Vernon Stephens and James “Ras” Stephens and sisters, Arlene Ragle, Wanda Hardin and Iva Jamison and son-in-law, Carl Wheeler. Mrs. White was a member of Ramers Chapel Methodist Church and a homemaker. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Kay & Johnny Carter of Paragould, Melba Wheeler of Saint Peters, Missouri, Christene & Waymon Holt of Milligan Ridge; six grandchildren: Shane Carter, Paragould, Ronald Holt, Caraway, Donald Holt, Lake City, Carla Rabon, O’Fallon, Missouri, Crista Wheeler, St. Peters, Missouri and Rick Wheeler, St. Peter's, Missouri;, nine great-grandchildren;eight great-great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law: Loretta and Charles (Buddy) Smith of Paragould, Velma and Gerald Smith of Marmaduke, Catherine Gerdes of Jonesboro; brothers and sisters-in-law: Thelbert and Vi Stephens, Eugene and Peggy Stephens, all of Paragould; special sister-in-law, Lorene Stephens of Lafe. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Tuesday at Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverend Waymon Holt officiating.
