Mrs. Alline Thomason, a dedicated homemaker known for her passion for sewing, jewelry-making, and baking, passed from this life on April 29, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born in Greene County on July 30, 1935, to the late Robert and Melvina Mears. Having graduated from Greene County Tech in 1953, Alline married her beloved husband, Jackie, on July 18, 1953, and they shared 68 beautiful years together until his passing in 2022. Alline was known for baking sweets, and she would gladly bake almost any treat requested as long as it did not have cherries. A devoted member of West View Baptist Church, she leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will always be cherished.
Alline was cherished as a loving mother to her son, Melvin (Susan) Thomason of Finch and daughter, Patricia (Gary) Hampton of Salem, Illinois. She was adored by her grandchildren, Bryan Hampton of Salem, Illinois, Paul Hampton of Grand Junction, Colorado, Cory Thomason of Finch, Warren (Michelle) Osborne of Jeffersonville, Vermont, and Darrel (Nellie) Osborne of Virginia Beach, Virginia; great grandchildren, Liam, Xenia, Xaiden, Rosalind, and Katerina; sister, Barbara Davis of Bentonville; and brother, Orlan Mears of Paragould.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jackie Thomason; and brother, Gene Mears.
Alline's impactful life will be remembered and honored in several upcoming ceremonies. A visitation will take place at Heath Funeral Home on Monday, May 6, 2024, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. A funeral service will begin at noon with Dr. Marc Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chris Thomason, Robert Gene Mears, Bryan Hampton, Paul Hampton, Darrel Osborne, Warren Osborne, Keith Mears, and Cory Thomason.
To honor Alline, memorials may be sent to Gideons International or International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ).
