Albert Ghyraine Smelser

Albert Ghyraine Smelser, 68, of Paragould died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center . He was born July 28, 1939 in Greene County, Arkansas. He served his country in the US Army and was retired from General Motors. He was of Baptist faith. Survivors include his mother Cathryn (Wartham) Smelser of Paragould; brothers, Doyle Smelser of Philadelphia, PA, Ron Smelser of Montrose, MI, and Jack Smelser of Great Cacapon, WV; one sister Carla Babcock of Mt. Morris, MI. Albert is preceded in death by his father Champ Bertram Smelser Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 1:30 pm at the Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverend Dennis Strope officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at Heath Funeral Home.
