Naomi Jean Lawhorn

Jean Lawhorn, longtime resident of Paragould, passed away October 30, 2023 at the age of 92 after a courageous battle with cancer. She moved to Michigan in 1951 where she raised her family. While there she worked at A&P and the Ford Motor Company. She and her husband returned to Arkansas for most of their retirement years. 

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandma, Jean always enjoyed time spent with family and friends, often hosting large gatherings. She was preceded in death by Charles Lawhorn, her loving husband of 53 years, grandson Michael Clark, four sisters, and five brothers. 

Jean Leaves behind; three children, Sandi (Jim) Downing, Tom (Ginger) Lawhorn, and Renee (Ken) Rivera; grandchildren Neil (Kim) Clark, Tina (Dave) Case, Chuck (Jenny) Lawhorn, Mark Rivera (Jenna Bianchi), Steven (Maddie) Rivera, great grandchildren, niece Glenda McPherson, and numerous other nieces and nephews. Jean will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 

A graveside service will take place at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould Wednesday, November 8, at 11 a.m.
