Mavis Roberta Goodman

Mavis Roberta Goodman, 81, of Paragould, passed from this life on Saturday, January 7, 2023. She was born in Rector on June 29, 1941, to the late W.B. and Zola Gatewood. Roberta graduated from high school in Rector. She married Robert "Mike" Goodman. Roberta worked for many years for Southwestern Bell before becoming owner of Goodman's Grocery. She remained there until she retired. In her spare time, Roberta loved to watch basketball, whether it was on television or in person. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son-in-law, Rick Lenderman.

Roberta is survived by her daughter, Tammie Lenderman of Paragould; son, Don Goodman of Lafe; grandsons, Bradley (Pam) Lenderman of Pocahontas and Drake Goodman of Paragould; brother, Richard D. (Cindy) Gatewood of Texas; a bunch of loveable great grandchildren; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 11:30 AM-1 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral begins at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kyler, Kadence, and Brad Lenderman, Korbin Phillips, and Justin Slusser.
