Guy Cecil Clark of Paragould passed away August 4, 2017. He was born June 9, 1932, in Monette. Guy was the son of Jerry Finley Clark and Ethel Lee Meeker. He married Quinelle “Nell” Jackman on November 27, 1953. He was a graduate of Greene County Tech and Arkansas State University with a degree in accounting. Guy was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army in Korea in 1953-55.
Guy was a charter member of the Paragould Jaycees. He was the manager of the Jaycees Little League baseball team during the 1960’s. He was currently serving on the Greene County Election Commission. Guy was a partner in Western Sizzlin Steak House in Jonesboro in the 1980’s. In 1995, he opened Guy’s Buffet in Paragould and retired in 2012 at the age of 80 years old. Guy is preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Jerry Thomas Clark; brother, Joel Wesley Clark; and sister, Wanda Lee Hundley.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Guyla (Jim) Jackson of Paragould; grandson, Stephen Jackson of Morgantown, WV; granddaughters, Emily Kate (Sam) Browning of Fort Worth, TX, Amy (Drew) Finkbeiner of Little Rock, Audri (Heath) Kocsis of Benton, and Morgan Jackson of Little Rock; and great grandchildren, Parker Kocsis of Benton and Mae Finkbeiner of Little Rock.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 8, 2017, from 9:00-11:00 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Heath Funeral Home with Rusty McMillon officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
