Glenda J. Webster, 78, of DeWitt, MI, formerly of Paragould, AR, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 6, 2020, in East Lansing, MI. She was the daughter of the late Eldon Johnston and Eulah Cox Johnston. Glenda retired from nursing after 40 years. Her hobbies included sewing, jewelry making, ceramics, puzzles, baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Johnston, parents Eldon Johnston and Eulah Johnston, and stepmother Katherine Johnston.
Survivors include her children, Dennis (Beverly) Hammon of Paragould, Debbie (Hammon) Salters of DeWitt, MI, Carla (Rob) Foster of Odessa, FL; grandchildren Richard Carroll, Randall Carroll, Mike Fleming, Zach Foster, Darrian Hammon Robinson, and Megan Foster; 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Judy Johnston; niece, Amber (Brandon) Burgess; nephews, Charles Jr. (Amy) Johnston, and Robert Johnston; stepbrothers Bill Tolley and Bobby Tolley and stepsister Sharon Bellinger; very special family friends Rose (Gordie) Milner, Sheila (Dave) Buck, as well as many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 12-2 pm at Heath Funeral Home. A graveside service at Pine Log cemetery will follow with Rev. Royce Boling officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be gifted to the Alzheimer’s Foundation to continue the fight to find a cure. Alzheimer’s is the #6 leading cause of death and is the only 1 in the top 10 without a cure.
In order to comply with CDC guidelines, face masks are required inside the building and friends are asked to practice social distancing.
