George Junior Pickney

George Junior Pickney, 84, of Paragould died Tuesday at his residence. He was a World War ll Veteran and a member of Seventh and Mueller Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Exhavior and Effie Pickney; brothers, Jess, Henry, Richard, and Everett Pickney; and sister Vinnie Brewer. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Thelma Pickney of the home; daughters, Judy and Nancy Pickney of Hot Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Ann Pickney of Paragould; two grandsons, Grant and Jared Pickney; two great grandsons, Dalton and Logan Pickney all of Paragould; and several neices, nephews, and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday at the Heath Coloninal Chapel with Michael Cox , Jared Pickney, and Larry McFadden officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm at Heath Funeral Home on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Children's Home of Paragould.
