HEATH FUNERAL HOME Esther Virginia (Brewer) Dixon, 79 of Marmaduke, went home to be with the Lord on Friday February 15, 2008 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born in Greene County on May 25th, 1928. She was a longtime member of Marmaduke First Baptist Church. She was retired from Arkansas Methodist Hospital. Mrs. Dixon enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, quilting and reading. Survivors include her four sons, David and his wife Linda of Tuckerman, Stephen and his wife Becky and William and his wife Kathy, all of Marmaduke, and Marlin and his wife Melinda of Paragould. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jason Weatherford, Amy Pratt, Sarah Dixon, Robert (Bobby) Dixon, Amanda Dixon, Michael Dixon, Lucas Dixon, Alicen Dixon, and three great grandchildren, Scout and Sophie Weatherford and Jaci Pratt. She is also survived by two sisters, Nola Hester of Paragould and Eliza Hester of Rector, and also numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert William Dixon, nine of her brothers and sisters and her parents Jethro and Lavadia Brewer. The family will receive friends from 6-9:00 PM Sunday at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday at Marmaduke First Baptist Church with Reverend Kim Bridges and Reverend Jerry Jolly officiating. Burial will follow at Harvey’s Chapel Cemetery. Chris Dixon, Dennis Kuykendall, Chad Robinson, Charles Jamison, Joe Hester, Paul Hester, Darrell Hester, and Doyne Shaw will be pallbearers with Chuck White, Ben Whitaker, Ricky Roberts and Billy Singleton being honorary pallbearers.
