Dr. Norman Eugene Smith

Dr. Norman Eugene Smith, 59, of Paragould, died Friday, July 4, 2014 at Arkansas Methodist MCenter. He was born August 5, 1954, to the late Norman Wilbur Lee and Anna Nadine Gaines Smith. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ryan William Smith and brother, Erhardt Smith. He was an OB/GYN Physician at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He enjoyed listening to birds and trying to identify their calls, motorcycles and horses. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Smith, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law: Norman, Jr. and Stacie Smith, Andrew and Rebekah Smith, all of Paragould; daughter: Lauren Smith of Chicago, Illinois; brothers: Basil Smith of Sweden, Adam Smith of Jonesboro and WIlliam Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Norman Smith, III., Sabina Smith, Tatum Smith, Raylee Smith and Matthew Smith. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM Saturday, July 12 at Heath Funeral Home,. His life will be celebrated at 12:00 PM, Saturday at Heath Colonial Chapel.
