Barry Steven Morrow, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and cherished member of the community, peacefully passed away on December 17, 2023, in Paragould, AR. He was born on June 27, 1959, in Paragould, to his loving mother, Mary Carr, and his father, Tom Orland Morrow.
Barry was a proud graduate of Greene County Tech High School, completing his studies in the esteemed class of 1977. Following his education, he served his country with honor and dedication in the United States Navy, enlisting in Memphis, Tennessee, on February 9, 1979. His unwavering commitment to his duties led him to achieve the rank of CM3 before his honorable discharge on October 7, 1983, in Gulfport, Mississippi.
After leaving the military, Barry found his passion in the field of retail sales. He thrived in his profession, dedicating himself to serving customers with a warm smile and unparalleled expertise. Barry's positive attitude and genuine care for others earned him the respect and admiration of both colleagues and customers alike.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Barry found solace in the simple joys of life. He took great pleasure in tending to his yard, meticulously mowing and beautifying it to perfection. A man of faith, he found peace and spiritual fulfillment in attending church services regularly, where he fostered deep connections within his community. Barry often cherished the freedom of driving, finding tranquility in cruising along the open road, embracing the beauty of nature.
Barry's family was the center of his life, and he was an adoring husband to his beloved spouse, Rogelia Morrow, whom he wed on May 6, 1990. He was a doting father to his daughters, Gloria (Jim) Evan, Monica (Doug) Florczyk, Jennifer (Kevin) Brown, and Samantha (Kris) LaHaie. Barry's love extended to his grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter to his days. He also leaves behind his sister, Jo (Thomas) Whitby and his dear mother, Mary Carr. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Debra Stevens.
An active participant in his community, Barry was a proud member of the Paragould Jaycees. Through this organization, he dedicated his time and efforts to making a positive impact and fostering a sense of belonging among his fellow community members.
