Archie Lavone Henson

Archie Henson, 69, of Evening Star was at home surrounded by his loving family when his harvest time came on Thursday, January 25, 2018. He was born on September 23, 1948 in Greene County, Arkansas. Archie was married to Lynn Clifton on November 28, 1968 at Evening Star Church of Christ. They made their home and raised their family in Evening Star. He was a hardworking Christian man who worked as a farmer all his life and was a crop-duster for 32 years. He was a member of Commissary Church of Christ. He loved spending time with his family. He started driving a combine at the age of 9 and continued to enjoy driving all his life. He enjoyed motorcycling, deer hunting, riding horses, and spending time outdoors. He spent time bird hunting and working with his bird dogs. He was dedicated to providing a good life for his family.

Archie was the son of the late Bob and Marie (Crockett) Henson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Alton Henson; brother, Dorsey Henson; sister, Diane Roley; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, John Earl and Wanda Clifton.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Lynn Henson of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Liz Henson; son, Shannon Henson; daughter and son-in-law, Shayla and Shannon King; grandchildren Colby (Laura) Henson, Colten Henson, Cord (Chelsea) Henson, Archlyn King, Jaiden Henson, and Ayresten King; great-grandchilden Aria, Cinch, Aubrey, ReinsLynn, and Collin; brothers Bobby (Jackie) Henson, Colonel (Debbie) Henson, and Gary (Jina) Henson; and many other much-loved family members.

Visitation is Friday evening from 6-8 at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral is Saturday at 2pm at Heath Colonial Chapel with Art Smith and Evan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Gardens.
